Brilliant staging marks the return of 'Falstaff' to the Teatro Real
Laurent Pelly's highly-anticipated new production of Verdi's last opera Falstaff opened to acclaim and delighted audiences at Teatro Real Madrid last week. With sets designed by Barbara de Limburg, and fellow Maestro artists Christian Räth and Jean-Jacques Delmotte also part of the creative team, the production is a co-production with La Monnaie / De Munt, Opéra national de Bordeaux and the Nikikai Opera Foundation, Tokyo.

A really outstanding result obtained by Pelly, with scenic variety of true merit, in this time of one-set productions, in each of the six parts that make up the three acts." Periodistadigital
“Verdi's opera returns after 17 years with a new and brilliant production by Laurent Pelly, where "not everything is a mockery" but a very serious creation.” El espagnol
