Animator Grégoire Pont joins Les Talens Lyriques and Christophe Rousset for a reimagining of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, complemented by excerpts from Rameau's Les Indes Galantes and Rebel's Les Élémens, both adding a vivid depiction of chaos and the natural world, and offering a perfect companion to Vivaldi's seasonal journey.
Drawing live on stage, Pont transforms Vivaldi’s beloved masterpiece into a poetic visual journey in which the four seasons become the four stages of life, from childhood and first love to family, maturity and a peaceful old age. Rather than illustrating Vivaldi's birds and storms literally, Pont creates a human narrative that unfolds in real time alongside the music. His hand-drawn animations are timed with extraordinary precision, creating the illusion that image and score were conceived together. The result is immersive and emotionally immediate, allowing audiences to encounter The Four Seasons with a fresh sense of discovery.
Following the international success of Pont’s productions such as Peter and the Wolf, Mother Goose and Moonlight on The Eiffel Tower, this new collaboration with Les Talens Lyriques offers a distinctive event with broad appeal. Combining world-class Baroque performance with the magic of live illustration, The Magic of Four Seasons attracts dedicated classical audiences, families and newcomers alike, creating a memorable and popular concert experience for all generations.
