Opening of the new National Forum of Music in Wroclaw
It is a big night today for the National Forum of Music opening its doors for a new state of the art concert hall! The architect of the new building was inspired by a musical instrument – its shape and the façade covering imitating timber resemble the body of a string instrument. The foyer, covered with black and white Corian, brings to mind the piano keyboard. The inaugural concert will feature major orchestras and ensembles (Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, NFM Choir, NFM Choir), and of course the NFM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Shwartz, featuring a programme of polish composers (Witold Lutosławski Mi-parti and Paul Mykietyn Hommage à Oskar Dawicki). Good luck for tonight and best wishes for the new hall!
