Laurent Pelly's new staging of Chabrier's L'étoile in Amsterdam
With its comic plot and considerable theatrical potential set to brilliant music Chabrier's L'étoile is one of the most entertaining works in the genre. This production at Dutch National Opera has new dialogues devised by Agathe Mélinand, sets by Chantal Thomas and costumes also by Pelly. The cast is led by Stephanie d'Oustrac and Christophe Mortagne. Performances run throughout October.
