Jack Sheen will serve as Associate Artist at Wigmore Hall from September 2026 for five years, among a cohort of 15 instrumentalists, ensembles and composers as part of the new season, announced today. The initiative will facilitate commissions, cross-disciplinary projects and collaborations, to which Sheen contributes as both conductor and composer.

His next performance at the venue is conducting Birmingham Contemporary Music Group in his own piece Television continuity poses, as well as works by Rebecca Saunders and Salvatore Sciarrino (10 April).

As part of the new programming, he marks the centenary of Morton Feldman with a new work as part of Explore Ensemble’s Feldman and After (2 & 3 January 2027). Further projects will be announced later in the year.

John Gilhooly, Director of Wigmore Hall, said: ‘Following the festivities for the Hall’s 125th anniversary in May, the 2026/27 Season represents an important strategic step for Wigmore Hall and its future path. Our new partnerships and associate artists establish a strong collaborative framework for the years ahead in the wider cultural narratives of the UK and beyond.’
