Grandy premieres new production of Haas' Morgen und Abend
Elias Grandy and Theater und Orchester Heidelberg on 3 February will give the first new production of Georg Friedrich Haas' Morgen und Abend since its premiere production at the Royal Opera, London and Deutsche Oper, Berlin. The Heidelberg production by director Ingo Kerkhof with sets by Anne Neuser, costumes by Inge Medert and video by Philipp Ludwig Stangl features a strong predominantly in-house cast showcasing the strength in depth of the Heidelberg ensemble.
The libretto by award winning Norwegian author, poet and playwright Jon Fosse, based on his acclaimed 2000 novel of the same name, Morgen und Abend meditatively describes the simplicity of the life of a fisherman, from birth to death.
