16 November was the last night of a series of 12 performances at the Palais Garnier, Shwartz' first collaboration with the Orchestre National de Paris and the Ballet de l'Opéra.

The first part of the programme consisted of Stravinsky's Agon in a revival of Balanchine's 1957 choreography, followed by Esa-Pekka Salonen's Grand Miroir, a violin concerto created in 2009 and played by soloist Akiko Suwanai, in a new choreography by Saburo Teshigawara.

After the interval came Pina Baush' 1975 sumptuous interpretation of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring
