Stefan Jackiw captivates audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with his poetry, purity of sound and impeccable technique. As a soloist he performs wide-ranging recitals and concertos as well as world premieres. He also enjoys chamber music, having curated ‘Stefan Jackiw and Friends’ at the 2023 Edinburgh International Festival, and was appointed Artistic Director of Hawaii Chamber Music Festival in 2024.

Recent highlights include performances with China National Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland under Hans Graf, Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with Erie Philharmonic and Jacksonville Symphony, Mozart with Pasadena Symphony and Barber’s Violin Concerto with New York Philharmonic Orchestra. This season he returns to Austin, Baltimore, Indianapolis and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras, among others. Upcoming highlights also include performances with Taipei Symphony Orchestra and Seoul Philharmonic and a piano trio recital at London’s Southbank Centre with Alisa Weilerstein and Inon Barnatan.

Jackiw is also a part of The Junction Trio, which made its highly praised debut at Carnegie Hall last season and returned to 92NY with a world premiere by John Zorn. As a chamber musician, he has also collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma, Gil Shaham, Steven Isserlis and Mahan Esfahani and he enjoys working with pianist Jeremy Denk, with whom he toured and recorded the complete Ives Violin Sonatas. He has also recorded Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with Inon Barnatan, Alisa Weilerstein, Alan Gilbert and Academy of St Martin in the Fields.

Passionate about new music, Jackiw gave the premiere of the violin concerto written for him by Conrad Tao with Atlanta and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, as well as David Fulmer’s concerto ‘Jauchzende Bögen’ with Matthias Pintscher and Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.
