vision string quartet
vivid and fearless
Ten years since its foundation, the vision string quartet has already created its own distinctive sound and changed the boundaries of music. With their unique ability to walk between classical string quartet repertoire and their own compositions, inspired by folk, pop, rock, funk and minimalism, these four visionary artists are giving fresh impetus to the music world.
The artistic integrity and quality of their classical performances have won them frequent invitations to classical concert halls such as Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Berlin Philharmonie and London’s Wigmore Hall as well as at renowned festivals such as BBC Proms, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Bodenseefestival, Beethovenfest Bonn and Trondheim Chamber Music Festival.
Plans for the 2024–25 season include collaborations with renowned orchestras such as the WKO Heilbronn and Nationaltheater Mannheim and the world premiere of a work for string quartet and orchestra by Primarius Florian Willeitner. Main season recitals include at Wigmore Hall, Prinzregenten Theater Munich and Frankfurt Alte Oper, as well as a special performance at the big hall of the Berlin Philharmonie alongside artists including the NDR Big Band, saxophonist Emile Parisien and jazz artist Jakob Manz.
